Sometimes life is like a sunset. There can be a definite sun, bright, round, sinking slowly in the western horizon and as the sun is still shining sometimes the sky will have a straight line depicting the obvious difference of the calm cool colors and the colors that glow in shades of orange, yellow, red, blue, and purple. It’s easy to understand how different people can be so distinctly and significantly different in how they live their lives. Given the same elements as the person across the room, just like the colors of the sunset in the exact same moment and place in time. The lines aren’t always so distinctly drawn. Where one part of the canvas of life is gray dreary and harsh, the same canvas on each corner, with differing heartbeats and breathes of air shine with majestic color and magnificent beauty at the exact same time. It’s all relevant to the obstacles the sun, or the person, encounters and how those obstacles absorb or filter. Either way, the sun is still there for the moment. We all have a kaleidoscope of colors in our life, imagine always being brite, would we know the blessing without having experienced the dark. Even when all the colors fad into darkness the sun is still there! It hasn’t gone away, it’s simply given passage to the moon and the stars to shine brightly. Embrace the changes of each day and await the next sunset with an understanding toward the ones who stand in a different light under the same sun.
